Herbert Nordrum
Herbert graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHIO) in 2012 and was hired by Trøndelag Theatre the same year. There, he participated in productions such as En handelsreisendes død, Jeanne d'Arc, and Moby Dick.
After four years in Trondheim, he joined the National Theatre, where he performed in productions such as Ulven, Romeo and Juliet, and the title role in Hamlet. The latter received excellent reviews and earned him a nomination for Best Leading Actor at the Amanda Awards in 2022.
He made his film debut in the role of Karl in the comedy film Pornopung. The film was nominated for Film of the Year by Osloprisen, and Herbert received both the Kanonprisen and the Amandaprisen for Best Supporting Actor. He also appeared in the NRK success series Young and promising, The Kings Choice , the critically acclaimed Melk, Amundsen, and Fjols til fjells.
In 2021, Herbert played a central role in Joachim Trier's The Worst Person in the World, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and competed in the main competition. The film achieved global success and was both nominated for and awarded numerous national and international prizes. Herbert also gained international acclaim with The Hypnose by Ernst De Geer, for which he received the Best Actor award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and Best Actor at the Rome Film Festival.
