Iman is best known for her role as Sana Bakkoush in the NRK drama series SKAM, where she played the lead in the fourth and final season. For her performance in the series, she was nominated for the Audience Award at the 2018 Gullruten. More recently, she has appeared in the hit series Pørni and played the journalist Sabine in the Christmas film Christmas on Cobbler Street.
In 2022, Iman was named to Forbes’ European “30 Under 30” list, in the “Social Impact” category, as one of the 30 most influential people under 30 in Europe. In 2018, she received the Bridge Builder Award (Brobyggerprisen) for her work in reducing the gap between people of different religions, and in 2024, she was awarded the Girls’ Prize (Jenteprisen) for her efforts in promoting girls’ rights and gender equality.
In addition to acting, Iman can be booked as a speaker and event host. She is currently offering lectures such as “From Sana Bakkoush to Iman Meskini,” “Prejudices, Racism, and Islamophobia,” and “Our Differences Make Us Stronger,” but she can adjust topics and content as needed. Some of the events she has hosted include the opening of Oslo as the European Green Capital, the opening of the National Museum, and the panel “Will Everything Be Fine? The Pandemic’s Impact on Children and Youth in the Nordic Countries.”
Iman holds a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies with Arabic, which makes her available for engagements in Norwegian, English, and Arabic.
