Maria Austgulen

Maria graduated from the National Academy of the Arts, Theatre in 2017 and started working permanently at Trødnelag Teater straight away. She debuted the same year in the role of Hedvig in Vildanden. Some of the other productions at the same theater are Spellemann på taket, Byggmester Solness and Sanger for bortkomne dager. She has also been engaged at Det Norske Teatret in productions such as Tante Ulrikkes vei and Tid for glede.

In the Viaplay series Nede, Maria plays the leading role Fanny. The series was selected to the main competition at Festival de la Fiction de la Rohelle for 2022 and nominated for Best European TV drama. Maria has also contributed to the TV series Side om side and Made in Oslo.
