Anders Danielsen Lie
Anders Danielsen Lie is a critically acclaimed, award-winning film actor, musician and medical doctor. He made his film debut when he was 11 years old in the title role of HERMAN (1990) by Erik Gustavson. Later he has gained worldwide recognition for his longtime collaboration with director Joachim Trier on the OSLO TRILOGY (REPRISE, OSLO AUGUST 31ST, THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD), and has later worked with a number of award-winning international directors, alongside stars like Kristen Stewart, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Glenn Close, Tim Roth and Mia Wasikowska. He regularly performs in English and French. In 2018 he played the terrorist in Netflix’ docudrama 22 JULY by Oscar-nominated director Paul Greengrass, about the 2011 Norway attacks. The film has been viewed by millions worldwide.
In recent years his career has grown considerably in international territories. For his part in THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD he received the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the film was nominated for two Oscars. Anders Danielsen Lie is a medical doctor and in-between movies maintains his practice working as a chief medical officer and general practitioner in his hometown Oslo. A longtime professional musician, he released a solo album in 2011, This is autism., based on tape recordings from his childhood.
